It sounds like you need to adjust the overall height of the top platen. First, remove the black knob and bolt underneath from the main swivel of the 8-in-1. Once you've done this, you'll see a large main screw bolt that runs through the machine (there is a washer as well). At the bottom of that internal screw there are two hexagonal bolts. One has a screw in the side of it. Loosen that screw and it will allow both of those bolts to be loosened. While Parallels are an alternative, most DTF machines are not Mac compatible. The Epson F1070 and the F2270 are the only DTF capable machines that are Mac compatible.
